Camp Instructor
This course is designed for instructors who will be teaching sailing programs in a summer camp setting without awarding CYA levels. This one-day course covers the basics including, safety, professionalism, communication and planning an effective lesson. The basic sailing skills covered include, but are not limited to:
- Tacking, focussing on hand exchange and footwork
- Sail trim and ticklers (upwind, reach and downwind)
- Boat balance
- Capsizing
