This is the National Coaching Certification Program’s (NCCP) sailing theory course. It is an intense 2.5 day course covering topics including teaching a lesson, planning a practice and ethics. In addition, topics like safety, skill progression, teaching to the appropriate ages, abilities and skills are covered. The instructors will be guided through lesson designs, curriculum and professional behaviours all done in a classroom setting. Instructors will work in groups as well as individually on lesson plans and will be engaged in teaching in a creative but purposeful manner.
